While it's exciting to consider the array of job and career opportunities open to you at this juncture in your life, it can also be rather daunting to face the job search, application and interview process. To start off right, we would like to help you prepare for the application and interview process with us.
EDB recruiting process reflects the synergies between our different hiring divisions and the fact that each division seeks many of the same core qualities in our full-time candidates, interns and even scholars. Our process also reinforces our philosophy that candidates' understanding of the EDB mission, culture and values are as important as the skills and talent they bring to the organization.

How does the Process work?
Your first interview with us is designed to help us get to know you, and for you to ask questions about us. The interview is held at one of EDB offices with EDB professionals. While the interviewers may come from different hiring divisions, you may not necessarily be interviewing for their respective divisions. Rather, the interview will focus primarily on your past experiences and accomplishments as well as your general suitability for and interest in EDB.
After this round, we can determine the best match for you among our hiring divisions, based on your skills, experiences, and stated divisional preferences.
You may then be invited back for second round interviews with up to two divisions. Second and any subsequent interviews will focus on your suitability for a particular division, and may be more technical in nature focusing on specific industries. Our interviewers will continue to assess your fit with the organization's culture as well as your interest in EDB and your passion to contribute to Singapore’s economic future.
If you have applied for a specific position, the interview may be divisional and you may be asked specific questions about the particular industry sector.
The final interview will be with a member of our Senior Management.

Interview Tips and Hints
• Find out time, venue and name of interviewer prior to attending the scheduled interview.
• Visit our Web site, and get familiar with our literature - e.g. brochures, leaflets, etc., to learn more about us - particularly the division for which you are interviewing.
• Remember - the interview may be the only time to showcase yourself. Think about why EDB is the organization for you and what valuable assets you could bring to EDB and Singapore. It will be helpful if you can give specific examples to demonstrate your abilities, e.g., past work experience, co-curricular activities, etc.
• The interview process is a great opportunity to find out information on EDB and our work. You may want to prepare a few questions before the interview.
• The first impression you make is very important and we suggest you dress in business attire.
• Be honest and be yourself during the interview.
