NTU to set-up Singapore's 3rd medical school

Healthcare demands in Singapore are expected to increase with population growth and an ageing population. It is timely that a third medical school be established to augment Singapore’s future manpower needs in this sector. The Nanyang Technological University (NTU) has been asked to submit a proposal for the set-up of the third medical school, which will take in 100 to 150 students a year. This will add to the 310 who now graduate each year from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School.
