The Minister for Trade and Industry has appointed five new members to the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB).  Six members of the Board have also been re-appointed.  These appointments will take effect on 1 February 2010.

2.	New Appointments
	•		Ms Joanne Cham Hui Fong  –  Director, Industrial Relations Department, National Trades Union Congress (NTUC)
	•		Mr Amadou Diallo  –  Chief Executive Officer, South Asia Pacific and Angola, DHL Global Forwarding
	•		Mr Stephen Felice  –  President, Global Consumer, Small & Medium Business, Dell Inc
	•		Mr Toshimasa Furukawa  –  Chief Executive Officer, Mitsui & Co (Asia Pacific) Pte Ltd
	•		Mr Kwek Mean Luck  –  Deputy Secretary (Industry), Ministry of Trade and Industry

	•		Dr Beh Swan Gin  –  Managing Director, EDB

	•		Mr Erik Peyrer  –  Vice President, Business Development-Asia Pacific & Middle East, Cameron International Corporation
3.	Four members have stepped down from the EDB Board after completing their terms in office:
	•		Mdm Halimah Yacob  –  Deputy Secretary General, National Trades Union Congress
	•		Mr Ashwin Muthiah  –  Chairman, Proteus Petrochemicals Pte Ltd
	•		Mr Jon M Niermann  –  President (Asia), Electronic Arts
	•		Mr Shunsuke Ohtsu  –  Chief Executive-Asia, Hitachi Ltd; and Chairman, Hitachi Asia Ltd
