Katoen Natie Announces S$60 million Expansion of its Jurong Logistics Terminal

Katoen Natie celebrates its 10 years in Singapore with further investment into phase 3 of its Jurong Logisitics Terminal

Katoen Natie, one of the world’s leading logistics service providers, which specialise in bulk handing and silo storage for the specialty chemical and petrochemical industries, is building the Phase 3 of its Jurong Logistics Terminal. The S$60 million expansion is in line with the company’s plans to build a global network of chemical distribution terminals.

This Phase 3 expansion will double the company’s capacity in terms of size and capabilities. In addition, to stay on the competitive edge in the marketplace, the company plans to introduce new services and solutions that will include processing and compounding, optical sorting, and specialised packaging and blending.

According to Dirk Lannoo, Vice President, Katoen Natie Group, “Singapore is continuously reshaping itself with a strong drive towards innovation and new technologies.  The relentless drive of Singapore to innovate fits very well (with) Katoen Natie’s drive to innovate new logistics solutions that help our customers to Make The Difference.”

Following the completion of Phase 3, Katoen Natie has also planned for Phase 4 and 5 expansions of its Jurong Logistics Terminal. This will double the company’s total investment in the Republic to more than S$300 million and translate to an additional 300 jobs.
