The SCIC is the official body which represents the Chemicals industry in Singapore. SCIC aims to promote the growth of the chemical cluster in Singapore in close partnership with the government, through ensuring that its members meet safety guidelines and regulations in their operations and processes.

Since 2001, SCIC has held an annual awards presentation to celebrate and recognize the efforts of companies who have implemented the Responsible Care program well in the previous year, especially in issues concerning Health, Safety and the Environment. 31 companies will be receiving the 2009 Responsible Care Awards.
