RTRC Asia (training institute for pre-school teachers) which is a part of NTUC Childcare announces their hosting of the ARNEC secretariat in Singapore. The Asia Pacific Regional Network for Early Childhood (ARNEC) is a non-profit which aims to strengthen advocacy, policy reviews and development, research and innovative practices in early childhood at national and regional levels, with the goals of aligning these to the Convention on the Rights of the Child. ARNEC in Singapore will rally the community of childhood development practitioners and professionals, both here and in the region to bring about their goal of holistic development for all children in the Asia Pacific region.

Mr Jonathan Kua, Director of International Organisations Programme Office (IOPO) at the Singapore Economic Development Board said, "We welcome the Asia-Pacific Regional Network for Early Childhood (ARNEC) to Singapore.  It joins the growing presence of the more than 80 international non-profits here that do good work in the region and around the world!  We hope that ARNEC will successfully rally the community of childhood development practitioners and professionals, both here and in the region -- and bring about their goal of holistic development for all children in the Asia Pacific region."
