A groundbreaking ceremony was held on 3 June 2009 to mark the construction of the new fuel depot by ST-Airport Services (STARS) at Seletar Aerospace Park.

The Seletar Aerospace Park (SAP) is a centrepiece of Singapore's commitment to strengthen its status as a global aviation hub by creating the right infrastructure, talent base and a conducive business environment.

The groundbreaking ceremony of the fuel depot is an important milestone in the development of SAP into a world-class aerospace park, which continues apace.

The long term prospects of the aerospace industry remains positive, and the development of SAP will position Singapore well to ride the upturn when it comes.

The fuel depot is expected to be completed by August 2009.
