Cognita, a leading UK-education group, will be holding a groundbreaking ceremony for their first Greenfield project globally and in Singapore -- Stamford American International School (SAIS).

SAIS is the result of EDB’s first Request for Proposal for Foreign System School (FSS) held in 2008. The RFP was held as part of the overall strategy to ensure sufficient FSS capacity for our expatriate community.

The school will offer an American curriculum to 2,750 students (up to 18 years of age) when completed by 2012. This is in addition to the existing 31 FSSs in Singapore (excluding kindergartens). Local media and foreign newswires will be invited to attend this event.
