TECMO KOEI launches locally developed Facebook game

TECMO KOEI Singapore Pte Ltd announced its plans to develop high quality social games titles for the global arena, beginning with Facebook games, and eventually having a plethora of games across mobile and networked social platforms. The Singapore studio will also unveil its first title for the Facebook platform.  Titled JollyWood, it is a simulation game for light casual users.  The objective of the game is to create getaways of fun and relaxation amidst scenic landscapes.


At an event to commemorate the launch, President and Chief Operating Officer of TECMO KOEI Singapore, Mr Shintaro Kobayashi, said that the company wants to expand its footprint globally through social games, and that the Singapore studio will be instrumental in this strategy. Mr Yeoh Keat Chuan, Assistant Managing Director of the Singapore Economic Development Board, who was the guest-of-honour at the event, added that the expansion is a testament to Singapore’s digital media talent base, sophisticated demand and cutting-edge infrastructure which enable companies such as TECMO KOEI to develop and deploy content for global markets.


Jollywood will be available on Facebook from 19 May 2011.
