Craig Barrett
Former Chairman and CEO
Craig Barrett spent four years as the Chairman of the Board of Intel Corporation and has always been an advocate for improving education and competitiveness in the U.S. and worldwide. He also believes that technology has the ability to raise social and economic standards globally. Mr. Barrett attended Stanford University in Palo Alto, receiving Bachelor of Science, Master of Science and Ph.D. degrees in Materials Science. He then became a member of the faculty, and his career in education took him to Europe, where he was a NATO Postdoctoral Fellow at the National Physical Laboratory in England from 1964 to 1965. He has authored over 40 technical papers and a textbook on materials science. His other accomplishments include serving as a member of the Board of Trustees for the U.S. Council for International Business and the Clinton Global Initiative Education Advisory Board.
