A man with leadership pedigree, Peter H. Loescher has left his mark on the companies he took charge. He is now Chief Executive Officer and President of Siemens AG, overseeing the Munich, German-based $104 billion powerhouse specialising in the energy, healthcare, and industry sectors with operations in 190 countries across the globe. Since assuming office in 2007, Mr. Loescher has driven several changes at Siemens including a global restructuring of the company from ten divisions to three; implementing a world-class compliance programme which has helped steer the company to the top of this category in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index; as well as a major push into sustainable technologies which has resulted in Siemens having one of the most green portfolios of any major company in the world today.

Before taking up his current post, Mr. Loescher served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of GE Healthcare Bio-Sciences of Operating Businesses of GE Healthcare Ltd. With more than 16 years in senior management roles in the pharmaceutical industry, Mr. Loescher's impressive credentials include the likes of Merck & Co., Amersham PLC and even companies across the U.K., U.S., Spain, Germany and Japan. Adding to his already stellar credentials, Mr. Loescher is an M.B.A. graduate of the Vienna University School of Economics and studied at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, as well as at Harvard Business School.
