In addition to headquarter functions, Pilz is looking to establish its first engineering design center in the region to support manufacturing companies in achieving high standards of industrial safety procedures within the next three years. The engineering center, which will be based in Singapore, will not only address the increasing market demand for safety consultancy and engineering solutions in the region. The center will also offer engineering design services to assist machine manufacturers in Southeast Asia to meet the necessary standards for international export.
This move is part of the company’s long-term vision to establish a stronghold in one of the fastest growing regions. Southeast Asia already accounts for five percent of global manufacturing, with sizeable shares in sectors such as chemicals, food and beverage, electronics and automobiles.
