On 22 Oct 2015, global management consulting firm, McKinsey & Company, announced the official opening of its digital campus in Singapore. A first of its kind for McKinsey in Asia, the digital campus that was set up in partnership with EDB, aims to help companies and enterprises in Asia transform and execute their digital initiatives, to stay competitive in a digital age.
McKinsey launches digital campus in Singapore
The Digital Campus brings together McKinsey’s global capabilities in digital strategy and technology, advanced data and analytics, and rapid prototyping, tapping into the knowledge of over 850 digital experts from across 30 countries, including designers, user experience experts, data scientists and agile developers.
The Campus launch was officiated by Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister-in-charge of the Smart Nation initiative at the McKinsey Innovation Forum. The forum discussion also tackled some of the challenges facing larger companies as they try to transform themselves, including in critical areas like how staff are organised. This was attended by some 250 senior government officials, leaders from the corporate sector and founders of some 40 start-ups in Asia.
