Marsh & McLennan Companies (MMC) has launched its Asia Pacific Risk Centre (APRC) in Singapore. Supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), the new centre is MMC’s inaugural risk research institute in the Asia Pacific and is a boost to Singapore’s business research ecosystem. It will also extend MMC’s global research network to Asia.
In conjunction with its launch, the APRC also released its first research report, which focuses on the cost of elderly healthcare in the region.
Mr Kelvin Wong, Assistant Managing Director, EDB said: “Its (MMC’s) decision is testimony to the importance of Hub Services as a growth driver for the Singapore economy, and will be a great boost to our business-research ecosystem. Global professional services firms can tap Singapore’s talent base and industry capabilities to develop innovative insights and develop pioneering, multi-disciplinary services for clients in Asia and beyond."
