The facility expansion and engine test bed increases SAESL’s overhaul capacity from 250 to 320 engines per year and will support increased productivity through advanced MRO techniques and optimised layouts. The new working environment will grant SAESL's employees access to more advanced MRO techniques and training in preparation for new engine types, such as the Trent 1000 which powers the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

“We are strategically located, in the backyard of one of the world’s busiest airports by international passenger and cargo traffic. Singapore is the ideal location to service the 4,600 Trent engines in operation around the world.” Mr Paul Inman, Chief Executive Officer, SAESL
