The opening marked three major milestones for Safran:

  • The company’s relocation to the Park, which is the first major investment by the company in the Park;
  • The new 3,500 square metres facility, which represents a major expansion for the company as it will triple its engine handling capacity; and,
  • A new training centre at the facility that will allow the company to provide OEM-certified maintenance training to its Asia-Pacific customers.

SHEA is committed to strengthening its footprint in the region with long-term investments in Singapore, which will allow the company to be close to its key customers and enhance the synergies derived by the cluster.

“The Safran Group believes in Singapore and we are located in Singapore to serve our 175 clients all over Southeast Asia. Southeast Asia is the fastest growing market in the world and it is absolutely key and strategic for Safran to be present here in Singapore.” Mr Franck Saudo, EVP for Support & Services, Safran Helicopter Engines.
