Lucasfilm Singapore

Lucasfilm Singapore has been making its mark internationally, having worked on Emmy Award winning television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and Rango, an Oscar-winning animated feature partially produced in Singapore. The studio has also contributed its creative talents to numerous Oscar nominated films including Transformers, Iron Man, The Avengers, Hitman: Agent 47 (also filmed on location in Singapore), Jurassic World, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and the 2016 smash hit Rogue One: A Star Wars Story to name a few. The team also contributed to Transformers the Ride, a theme park attraction at Universal Studios in Singapore and Los Angeles.

With over 300 employees in Singapore, the studio, which opened its doors in 2004, has since become a center for technological innovation and artistry, driving development that benefits Lucasfilm and Industrial Light & Magic’s global teams in San Francisco, Vancouver and London. Artists have an opportunity to work closely across disciplines under one roof and seamlessly collaborate on shared international productions.

In 2013, Lucasfilm moved into the award-winning Sandcrawler building – named after the classic Star Wars transport that inspired its design. Located in Fusionopolis, this nine-story building houses a 100-seat theatre and state-of-the-art production facilities that caters to the long-term global production needs of the company.

Founded by George Lucas in 1971, Lucasfilm is responsible for some of the most iconic films of our time, from American Graffiti to Star Wars and Indiana Jones. Lucas’ passion for progress has created a culture where entertainment and technology intersect, resulting in some of the most notable innovations in the industry, including breakthrough advances in storytelling, visual effects, digital editing and digital film production and exhibition.
