GE Aerospace to commence module repair operations at Seletar Aerospace Park

This press release was issued by GE Aerospace.

GE Aerospace (NYSE:GE) today marked the expansion of its operations at Seletar Aerospace Park with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new module repair facility, in partnership with JTC Corporation (JTC) and Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). The new facility forms part of GE Aerospace’s recently announced US$300 million investment to expand its maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities in Singapore, and will support the growth of dedicated CFM LEAP-1A/1B High-Pressure Turbine (HPT) module repairs. This new shop will further enhance GE Aerospace’s in-region MRO capabilities to support customers across Asia Pacific and the Middle East.

“This expansion at Seletar Aerospace Park underscores our commitment to building in-region MRO capabilities that help reduce turnaround time and enhance connectivity for our customers across APAC and the Middle East. By adding module repair capability in Singapore, we are able to execute more module repairs closer to operators, thereby improving material and engine flow, and provide more predictable support for the LEAP fleet. This also reinforces Singapore’s role as a key location within GE Aerospace’s global MRO network.”

“We are pleased that our ready-built infrastructure at Seletar Aerospace Park supports GE Aerospace’s MRO operations by shortening time to market – enabling faster start-up and quicker scaling of capabilities. With plug-and-play facilities, companies can move straight into execution and be market ready sooner.”

“GE Aerospace’s new engine module repair facility reflects Singapore’s continued attractiveness as a trusted and reliable hub for aerospace operations across Asia Pacific and the Middle East. This latest investment adds advanced capabilities to our ecosystem amidst growing demand for MRO services, and will strengthen Singapore’s relevance and position as a critical node in the regional aerospace supply chain.”
