Microsoft and DISG Launch Agentic AI Accelerator to help 300 Singapore businesses in AI transformation as part of the Enterprise Compute Initiative
This press release was jointly issued by Microsoft and Digital Industry Singapore.

Microsoft and Digital Industry Singapore (DISG) have today announced the Agentic AI Accelerator program, as part of the Singapore Government’s Enterprise Compute Initiative (ECI).

Over the next 12 months, the Agentic AI Accelerator program will offer up to 300 Singapore-based businesses a baseline support of up to S$250,000 of Azure cloud credits, AI training and tools. In addition, Microsoft will also offer funding of up to S$700,000 in services to help select businesses co-develop their agentic AI roadmap with Microsoft technology partners, subject to approval. This package complements the Singapore Government’s funding support of S$105,000 capped per enterprise for consulting costs on a co-payment basis to create their own AI Centre of Excellence with the support of Microsoft and a technology partner.

Through this initiative, Microsoft will empower businesses to become ‘Frontier Firms’ – organisations powered by hybrid teams of humans working with AI agents. As AI agents increasingly demonstrate the ability to reason, plan, and execute tasks as digital labour, Microsoft’s latest Work Trend Index reveals that 82% of business leaders in Singapore intend to deploy them to scale workforce capacity within the next 12-18 months. For forward-looking organisations ready to embrace agentic AI, Microsoft is committed to making bold investments that will enable their transformation into Frontier Firms over the coming year.

“At Microsoft we see that Frontier Firms are the future – a new type of organisation where teams of humans and AI agents are working together, able to scale faster, move with greater agility, and create value in new ways. As a leader in both generative AI and cutting-edge agentic AI, Microsoft is committed to helping businesses become Frontier Firms by scaling with AI that is intuitive, secure, and integrated into everyday workflows. The combination of support now available to local businesses through the Government’s ECI and Microsoft’s new Agentic AI Accelerator will drive innovation and position Singapore to lead with AI.”

Supporting ECI and launching its Agentic AI Accelerator builds on Microsoft Singapore’s vision for its AI Pinnacle Program. This initiative aims transform industries with AI, including co-innovating with leading local organisations from law to healthcare and maritime to aviation.

The Microsoft Research Asia – Singapore lab recently launched with the support of EDB will also provide Agentic AI Accelerator participants the opportunity to engage with world-class scientists through deep research collaborations, lectures and training workshops.

Today’s combined launch event was graced by Guest-of-Honour Ms. Low Yen Ling, Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) and the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY).

“Increasing access to AI tools and services is pivotal to empowering Singapore-based enterprises to gain competitiveness. We are pleased to partner with Microsoft who is forefront of AI and cloud innovation, to provide hundreds of Singapore-based enterprises with access to advanced Azure services and cutting-edge AI tools. This will support companies in dealing with the pace of change and get ahead to uncover new opportunities from Singapore.”

As a cloud partner in the ECI, Microsoft is supporting the Government’s vision to accelerate AI adoption by setting up AI Centers of Excellence (CoE) across industries. Through this initiative, Microsoft will offer bespoke solutions with technology partners that help companies overcome key business challenges and unlock competitive differentiation using AI. Whether it’s scaling operations, enhancing productivity, or innovating customer experiences, Microsoft is uniquely positioned to support Singapore’s business community in realising tangible outcomes from AI.

Local businesses have expressed their support for the Agentic AI Accelerator approach, including NCS and Rajah & Tann, with their leaders speaking about their organisation’s AI transformation journey as part of a panel at today’s event.

“AI is entering a new phase – agentic AI that enables systems to act with greater autonomy and purpose. At NCS we're embedding this into real-world operations through partnerships with clients, governments, and tech leaders like Microsoft, with support from agencies like DISG. Our focus: trusted, hyperlocal AI solutions that drive tangible community impact.”

NCS

“Law is an industry where precision and trust are non-negotiable. Law firms have always been cautious of disruptive technologies as the accountability for the output from such technologies always remains with the lawyers as professionals. Microsoft’s understanding of these key priorities and practice risks, and its ability to provide secure, scalable, seamlessly integrated enterprise solutions have enabled us to pursue our shared belief in the transformative power of human and artificial intelligence while managing legal practice risk effectively. We are proud to serve as a success story, moving Singapore forward with AI and innovation in the legal sector.”
