Sixty senior executives are being cultivated to be the pipeline of future global business leaders coming from Singapore. The Singapore Leaders Network (SGLN) today launched its groundbreaking 'SGLN Fellowship', a bold initiative designed to propel Singapore's brightest talent onto the global leadership stage, marking a significant milestone in the Network's journey.
Launched in July 2022, SGLN was established to prepare Singaporeans for global leadership roles. It is supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and managed by the Human Capital Leadership Institute (HCLI).
A Pipeline of Global Leaders
“Grooming the next generation of Singaporean corporate leaders in partnership with globally-leading companies here will strengthen Singapore’s position as a global hub for talent. The SGLN Fellowship reinforces the network’s role in equipping up-and-coming corporate leaders with the skills, mindsets and networks to make an impact in the global business world.”

SGLN identified the need for a structured leadership programme to develop global-ready business leaders and created the SGLN Fellowship, a 9-month programme designed to equip mid-to-senior level Singaporean leaders with the skills and experiences necessary to excel in international leadership positions.
The Fellowship aims to hone the global voice of the participants (known as SGLN Fellows), sharpen their intercultural compass, give them the opportunity to navigate uncertainty, and fan their flames of global ambition.
"The SGLN Fellowship represents a significant step forward in our mission to cultivate world-class leaders in Asia. We are delighted to work with our corporate sponsors and the broad community of volunteers to help support this mission. We are confident our pioneer cohort of SGLN Fellows will make a lasting impact in the region and beyond."

Inaugural Cohort and Strategic Partnerships
The SGLN Fellowship has a carefully selected cohort of 60 SGLN Fellows, who were chosen through a rigorous application process. They have an average 17 years of working experience and represent 50 companies, mostly multinationals and large local enterprises.
Eight strategic partner companies – ABB, Applied Materials, DBS, HSBC, SATS, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, SMRT and UOB – have generously supported SGLN, demonstrating their commitment to investing in Singapore's future leadership.

Launch Event Highlights
At the official launch event held today, over 120 leaders including the SGLN Fellows, their HR and supervisors, and senior representatives of EDB and the eight strategic partners, turned up to witness keynote remarks by Ms. Jill Lee, Board Director of Schneider Electric, insightful panel discussions featuring SGLN Fellows, and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between SGLN and its strategic partners.
In her opening remarks, Jill shared how it is now more important than ever that there is a deliberate and proactive strategy to grow the pipeline of experienced transnational-thinking leaders in Singapore with a global mindset. This was to provide a ready pool of talent for Singaporean companies expanding globally as well as for international companies coming into Singapore.
“The SGLN Fellowship is not just about individual development; it's about building a critical mass of global leaders who can collectively shape Singapore's future. We are excited to launch this transformative journey for our pioneer cohort."
