Helping companies adopt Industrial AI with greater confidence
The TIA-Ready Framework brings together relevant Singapore and international standards into a practical pathway for companies adopting AI in industrial automation, robotics, manufacturing and operational technology. Benchmarked against ISO/IEC 42001, it helps businesses assess risks, assign accountability, implement controls and build evidence for responsible AI deployment.
Companies can begin with a defined use case and strengthen governance as their AI adoption matures. The framework can be applied to areas such as AI tool governance, data leakage prevention, AI-assisted engineering, machine vision inspection, predictive maintenance, quality control and robotics optimisation.
SP supported the development of the framework by bringing on board two SME pilot companies, JM Vistec and CADVision Systems, to test its structure, clarity and practical application through AI-related business operation use cases. Their feedback showed that the framework can help SMEs identify AI-related risks, adopt stronger governance practices and build customer confidence while maintaining business continuity.
A Steering Committee will guide the framework’s development, with AutomationSG and partners such as SP supporting training, pilot implementation and organisational readiness. This phased approach allows companies to build a track record before pursuing ISO/IEC 42001 certification.
Nine partnerships to strengthen talent and industry transformation
The Industrial AI announcement was part of a broader push by SP to strengthen the link between learning, industry transformation and Singapore’s economic priorities.
At the conference, SP formalised nine partnerships with organisations from industry, academia and professional associations. These partners include Dassault Systèmes, CADVision Systems, the Singapore Manufacturing Federation, GlobalFoundries, SMC Corporation (Singapore), Women in Aviation Singapore Chapter (WAI-SG), Stolz Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Advantech and GloboAI Robotics.
The collaborations will strengthen talent pipelines in manufacturing, semiconductors, aviation and robotics, while advancing sustainability and digital transformation. They will provide students, staff and adult learners with industry attachments, internships and exposure to emerging technologies such as agentic AI, while helping enterprises build capabilities for regional growth, including opportunities linked to the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone.
Through its latest partnership with GlobalFoundries, SP is projected to train more than 2,000 of the company’s employees to support its digital transformation journey. SP will also become the first institute of higher learning in Singapore to deploy the 3DEXPERIENCE Works for Startups and SOLIDWORKS SkillForce programmes through a tripartite partnership with Dassault Systèmes and CADVision Systems, strengthening national capabilities in Industrial AI, advanced engineering, and manufacturing design.
Connecting regional opportunities, technology and talent
Automation SolutionGO! x RINC 2026 brought together local and international delegates from eight countries, faculty members and students from more than 10 institutes of higher learning across Singapore and the region, more than 50 domain experts and 35 solution exhibitors over two days.
Supporting Singapore’s internationalisation push, the conference featured dedicated breakout tracks on Malaysia and China. The Malaysia track explored scaling through the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone, drawing on insights from Enterprise Singapore and the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturing, while the China track focused on emerging technology partnerships, including new frontiers such as space technology collaboration.
Supporting employment and STEM career pathways
Held in conjunction with the conference, the Manufacturing and Aviation Career Fair was led by NTUC’s Employment and Employability Institute (e2i) and WAI-SG, in collaboration with AutomationSG, SP, and the Singapore Semiconductor Industry Association (SSIA). It brought together more than 30 employers and over 600 job seekers, graduates and alumni, with more than 1,300 industry vacancies available.
Beyond job opportunities, e2i provided career coaching, employability advisory and AI-enabled career services to help jobseekers navigate career transitions, strengthen job readiness and identify skills development pathways aligned to industry needs. Attendees could also access NTUC AI Career Coach (AICC), an AI-powered platform that supports resume optimisation, interview preparation and career planning.
SP also organised its inaugural STEM Awareness Seminar, anchored by a keynote from Mr Sean See Tho, Vice President of the Singapore Economic Development Board’s Industry Manpower Development Division, on Singapore’s growth in advanced manufacturing and the opportunities ahead. The seminar, which drew more than 600 students from local institutes of higher learning, also featured sharing sessions and panel discussions with SP alumni and industry professionals to raise awareness of STEM education pathways and careers.
Together, the conference, training programme, partnerships and career initiatives reflect SP’s role as a lifelong learning institution that brings education and industry together. Through these efforts, SP aims to support responsible technology adoption, build trusted AI capabilities, strengthen talent pipelines and help enterprises transform for future growth.
