SMARTT Precision Mfg unveils state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in grand opening ceremony

SMARTT Precision Mfg., a cutting-edge startup specialising in quick-turn, high-IP gas delivery solutions for the semiconductor industry, successfully celebrated the grand opening of its advanced manufacturing facility on August 1, 2024.

The event marked a significant milestone in Singapore's precision engineering industry and was graced by Guest of Honor Mr. Marcus Dass, SVP of the Global Enterprises Division at the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB).

The ceremony, held at SMARTT's impressive 17,000 m² facility at 26 Changi North Crescent, showcased the company's state-of-the-art capabilities, including 2,000 m² of cleanroom space (ISO 5, 6, and 7) dedicated to gas delivery and weldment solutions for front-end semiconductor equipment powered by Smartt Intelligent Automation. With plans to expand its facilities by an additional 3000 m² in the next phase, SMARTT offers seamless 24/7 quick-turn production capabilities without human intervention, further solidifying SMARTT's position as a leader in automation innovation.

The event featured a series of highlights, including: -

• An opening ceremony launched by the Guest of Honor, SMARTT's CEO and MD, and key industry partners
• A vibrant lion dance performance, symbolising prosperity and success
• A comprehensive factory tour, showcasing SMARTT's Intelligent Factory Automation and "Dark Manufacturing" capabilities
• Networking opportunities during high tea and dinner buffet

One hundred and forty attendees, including partners from EDB, Singapore Semiconductor Industry Association (SSIA), Advanced Manufacturing Employees’ Union (AMEU), Institute of Higher Learnings (IHLs), A*STAR, suppliers, semiconductor ecosystem partners, and overseas guests, had the opportunity to witness firsthand SMARTT's innovative solutions and advanced manufacturing processes.

SMARTT's new facility boasts:

• The largest ISO 5, 6 and 7 certified clean rooms in Singapore, with nearly 2,000 m² of fabrication space for weldment and automated assembly.
• Dedicated 4,500 m² area for high-IP protection customer projects
• Advanced security infrastructure for monitoring customer-specific IP
• Intelligent Factory Automation for efficient production in precision machining with integrated Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS)

Established in 2023, SMARTT currently employs 70 staff and expects to grow to 150 by 2025. The company is planning to employ more engineers in areas of advanced manufacturing, computer analysis, testing & quality management. The company is led by a team of local executives with over 20 years of industry experience each.
