Expanding Research and Commercialization Partnerships
Building on the connection between scientific research and real-world agricultural application, at AgriS Global NEXUS 2026, AgriS and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore), through Global Mind Agriculture (GMA), announced their intention to further develop the proposed AgriS–NTU Joint Lab for Resilient Bioinnovation, to be anchored at FRESH@NTU.
The proposed Joint Lab is expected to connect scientific research in Singapore with AgriS’ field-validation, production and commercialization capabilities across tropical agricultural markets.
AgriS also signed Memoranda of Understanding with the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) and the Vietnam Marketing Association (VMA), broadening its collaboration network from research and technology to market development and commercialization. Through the Center in Singapore, AgriS aims to serve as a platform connecting Vietnam’s multidisciplinary innovation capabilities with international networks of research, technology, capital and markets.
In parallel, AgriS continues to engage and expand its collaboration network with Enterprise Singapore; the University of Technology Sydney (UTS); Farmacist; and high-tech agriculture initiatives in Queensland, Australia.
Driving Innovation Across the Value Chain
AgriS’ research and partnership initiatives are built on its agricultural value-chain platform, connecting R&D with growing areas, production, data, finance, logistics and markets to develop solutions that enhance operational efficiency, optimize resources and create greater value from agriculture.
This direction is reflected in the strategy “Beyond Agriculture. Creating Sustainable Value” with the ambition to expand the value generated by agriculture beyond raw materials toward value-added products, technology, knowledge, business models and scalable commercial solutions.
AgriS’ portfolio currently includes nearly 200 food and agricultural products across sugarcane, coconut, rice, banana and pineapple, together with nature-derived nutritional solutions. On this foundation, the AgriS Global Innovation Center connects research, field validation, production and markets, enabling new solutions to be assessed for feasibility, market demand and scalability before commercial deployment.
The Center was launched as part of AgriS Global NEXUS 2026 – Converge to Elevate, where AgriS and its partners explored how ASEAN can transform its agricultural advantages into higher-value products and solutions by strengthening connections across science, policy, industry, finance and international markets.
The program also expanded opportunities for collaboration in research, technology, talent development, cross-border investment, supply-chain integration and commercialization.
With Singapore serving as a strategic hub within its international innovation network, AgriS aims to connect research capabilities, growing areas and value chains across its operating markets with global technology, capital and customers. Through AgriS Global NEXUS, the Group continues to develop a collaborative ecosystem that can bring agricultural solutions from research and testing into real-world application, commercialization and international scale.
