Fugro today announced the expansion of its innovation activities in Singapore through the development of an AI-driven marine digital twin capability. This initiative marks a major milestone in Fugro’s global growth strategy and will further strengthen Singapore's role as Fugro's Asia Pacific hub for marine Geo-data innovation, helping clients make faster, more informed decisions for offshore and coastal developments. Supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), the expansion will deepen local capabilities in AI and digital engineering.
Fugro Singapore will serve as the launchpad for regional deployment, connecting advanced AI and digital engineering expertise to clients across Asia Pacific. This AI-enabled platform unifies geophysical survey data, geotechnical site investigation results, laboratory data and imaging into a single digital analytics environment. Today, marine site characterisation often relies on fragmented, labour-intensive workflows and manual interpretation across disconnected datasets. By leveraging AI and machine learning, the platform will automate data integration, interpretation and analysis, helping to break down data silos, improve efficiency, and unlock deeper insights from complex marine Geo-data.
The platform is expected to enhance decision-making for offshore and coastal development by delivering faster, more predictive ground intelligence to clients worldwide. It will also contribute to the growth of local expertise in AI, data science and digital engineering. Fugro expects to create new roles in Singapore across AI, data science and digital engineering as the platform scales.
