NEXT&BIO, an affiliate of Kolmar Holdings, today announced the expansion of its research and development (R&D) operations in Singapore. Supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), the company will strengthen its local research capabilities, expand its Singapore-based team and deepen its collaboration with the Cancer Science Institute of Singapore (CSI Singapore) at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
NEXT&BIO established an academic joint research laboratory with CSI Singapore at NUS in August 2025, followed by the establishment of its Singapore subsidiary later that year. These operations provide a foundation for the company's translational cancer research, regional business development and collaborations with research institutions and pharmaceutical companies across Asia.
Singapore was selected as a strategic base for its strong biomedical research ecosystem, access to specialised talent, connections to global pharmaceutical companies and diverse Asian population. By anchoring its research and business development activities in Singapore, NEXT&BIO aims to connect its preclinical drug evaluation capabilities with regional research and industry partners.
Expanding research capabilities and growing local talent in Singapore
NEXT&BIO plans to expand its Singapore-based team with specialised talent across research, laboratory operations and business development. The expanded team will support joint research programmes, platform development and engagement with regional and global partners.
