Hamamatsu Photonics has established a local subsidiary, “HAMAMATSU PHOTONICS ASIA PACIFIC Pte. Ltd.”, in Singapore with the aim of strengthening its business foundation in the Southeast Asian market. Operations are scheduled to commence in October 2026.
The Southeast Asian market is expected to achieve steady economic growth, supported by population growth and the expansion of the middle-income class in each country. In addition, the region is gaining global importance due to the advancement of manufacturing industries and the development of supply chains. Recognizing this environment as a medium- to long-term growth opportunity, Hamamatsu Photonics has established a local subsidiary in Singapore to further expand its market presence in Southeast Asia and to address increasingly sophisticated customer needs.
To date, Hamamatsu Photonics has built its sales and logistics framework in the Southeast Asian market through its local subsidiaries in Europe and the United States. With the establishment of this new base, the company will consolidate logistics functions in the region and gradually transition to a sales and logistics framework centered on the new hub. Through this initiative, the company aims to strengthen cost competitiveness, shorten lead times, and further enhance customer satisfaction. Going forward, the company will work to optimize its supply chain and service structure throughout Southeast Asia, using this new subsidiary as a starting point. In the future, it also plans to expand its functions in line with regional market growth to further strengthen its global competitiveness.
