Tacta Systems™ Expands Global Manufacturing Footprint With New Singapore Facility

PALO ALTO, September 24, 2026 -- Tacta Systems™, a company that is pioneering Dexterous Intelligence for robotics, today announced the opening of its new Singapore office and production facility in Woodlands. The facility will initially focus on production of the Tacta Glove™, helping Tacta scale its Skill Capture system as the company prepares to deploy its robotic technology with manufacturers across the electronics, AI infrastructure and automotive industries in early 2027.

The opening comes less than two months after Tacta unveiled its technology for the first time. The company’s TactaBot™ combines its proprietary Tacta Hand, Skill Capture system and a Dexterous Intelligence AI engine to give robots the touch and dexterity needed to perform high-value manufacturing work.

The Tacta Glove is central to its Skill Capture system. Worn naturally by skilled workers as they perform real-world tasks, it accurately captures force, motion, and temperature data that Tacta uses alongside video data to teach its robotic hands new skills. Expanding glove production in Singapore will allow Tacta to deploy more Skill Capture systems as it begins working with customers at scale.

Tacta is building that presence alongside Singapore’s advanced semiconductor and manufacturing ecosystem. The company is working with A*STAR Institute of Microelectronics (A*STAR IME) to begin scaling production of the tactile sensors at the core of Tacta’s technology. The partnerships give Tacta access to the manufacturing expertise and infrastructure needed to increase production as demand grows, while establishing a stronger presence alongside customers, investors, and technology partners across the region.

Tacta’s expansion in Singapore is supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and EDBI, a strategic investor in the company. EDBI is an investment arm of SG Growth Capital, the investment platform of EDB and Enterprise Singapore.

Singapore will serve as a key manufacturing and engineering hub for Tacta as the company expands globally, providing additional manufacturing capacity and a base in Asia to support local customer deployments. Hiring will accelerate in the fourth quarter across manufacturing, engineering, and test engineering as the operation grows.
