In June 2018, Kantar opened its Brand Growth Lab in Singapore. The Lab, which specialises in data science, AI and machine learning, is an advanced analytics hub looking into new ways of leveraging big data to drive strategic decision-making for businesses.

Global insights company Kantar launched the Kantar Brand Growth Lab on 19 June 2018, its first Research & Development hub in Asia, as part of a three-year collaboration with EDB.

The Lab will focus on advanced analytics and harnessing the power of big data, artificial intelligence and machine learning to unlock deep insights that fuel brand growth. It will have a strong innovation mandate and will spearhead globally significant projects that aim to transform siloed, typically unstructured and un-contextualised data into insights that drive customer-centric decision-making and sustainable growth.

In addition to the Lab’s innovation mandate, the collaboration between Kantar and EDB will also include the hiring of data scientists and business designers, thus developing a strong pipeline of Singapore-based talent and expertise in this space. Its creation is aimed at fostering Asian-led innovation in creating solutions that will support global clients in growing their brands.

The creation of the Kantar Brand Growth Lab follows the launch of Singapore’s Professional Services Industry Transformation Map (ITM), an inter-agency  roadmap to develop Singapore into a globally-leading Professional Services industry driven by innovation and partnerships.
