Increasing foreign direct investments
In 2022, ASEAN FDI flows increased to $224 billion, marking an all-time peak. The region’s share of global FDI inflows rose further, from less than 15 per cent to more than 17 per cent. Manufacturing remained a significant recipient with investment climbing to an all-time high of $62 billion.
