Board changes at the Singapore Economic Development Board


The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) announced changes to the Board of the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). The changes will be effective 1 April 2026.

MTI will be appointing two new Members and re-appointing three Members, to the Board of EDB.

Appointment of New Board Members

 

Mr Chng Kai Fong
Permanent Secretary (Digital Development and Information), Ministry of Digital Development and Information
Permanent Secretary (Smart Nation), Prime Minister’s Office (PMO)
Permanent Secretary (Cybersecurity), PMO
With effect from 1 April 2026

Mr Chng will also be appointed as Deputy Chairman of the EDB, to coordinate Singapore’s AI efforts.
