Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS), a global biopharmaceutical leader, today celebrated its 60th anniversary in Singapore by underscoring the country’s strategic role in its new Pan Asia Cluster (PAC). Supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), the announcement will see the addition of key talent based in Singapore to help accelerate patient access and innovation in the region.

Speaking at the celebration event, Steve Sugino, Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific, BMS, highlighted the company’s long-term commitment to Singapore.

The PAC has more than 200 employees and brings together markets including Hong Kong & Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Singapore’s expanded role will help strengthen capabilities and talent at scale, support strategic partnerships and deliver enhanced patient impact across the region.

BMS has more than 60 clinical trials in the PAC region, with five new trials targeted to start in Singapore by the end of 2026. The move reinforces Singapore’s role in improving access to innovative medicines and healthcare outcomes across the region. For patients, the impact of such efforts is significant. Innovation, access and education all contribute to earlier diagnosis, better care and improved outcomes.
