The signing ceremony marked all parties’ commitment to collaborate to advance AI research, accelerate digitalisation for both established corporates and SMEs, as well as develop AI-based solutions catering to industrial and institutional needs, in Singapore and across Asia.
The signing of the MOUs is a significant step forward for SenseTime’s Singapore operations and the company’s international expansion. Spanning across a wide range of academia, industry and government agencies, these partnerships will play an important role in accelerating AI developments in Singapore and Asia, in various areas such as computer vision and deep learning technologies.
At the signing ceremony, EDB’s Assistant Managing Director, Mr Kiren Kumar highlighted the importance for Singapore to embrace the AI revolution that is in line with Singapore’s shift into an innovation-led economy, and how Sensetime is well-positioned to partner Singapore in this effort. With their international hub and R&D operations here in Singapore, Sensetime makes an invaluable addition to Singapore’s growing AI ecosystem of public and private partners.
