Corteva expands Singapore laboratory to enhance delivery of nature-inspired crop protection innovations to the Asia Pacific region

This press release was issued by Corteva, Inc.

Today, Corteva announced the expansion of its laboratory in Singapore, increasing its size by 50%. This represents a significant step in enhancing its advanced crop protection solutions capability to support farmers in the region.

Nature-inspired innovations, enhanced through scientific research, are transforming the agricultural sector and gaining traction across Asia. One standout example is the spinosyn range of crop protection products, which are developed by fermenting a naturally occurring soil bacterium. These advanced solutions deliver fast and effective protection for crops, using significantly lower application rates. For many farmers in the region, where managing costs is essential, adopting such products can lead to reduced input expenses and the flexibility to treat crops only when necessary.

Corteva Senior Vice-President Brook Cunningham hosted guests of honour for the opening ceremony including Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) Executive Vice President Mr Lim Wey-Len.

“Corteva’s expanded Singapore laboratory is an example of our targeted investments to support growth in this region. By investing in advanced formulation and biological research capabilities, we are strengthening our ability to bring differentiated, high-quality crop protection solutions tailored to the market.”
