This press release was issued by Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
To strengthen the digital integrated circuit (IC) talent pool within Singapore’s semiconductor ecosystem, NTU Singapore is launching a new graduate learning pathway in integrated circuit design.
The new FlexiMasters in Integrated Circuit Design, developed in collaboration with the Singapore Semiconductor Industry Association (SSIA) and supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), aims to meet the surging global demand for specialised chip design expertise.
The programme is designed in collaboration with fabless semiconductor companies to ensure graduates possess industry-ready skill sets.
Students will have access to laboratories equipped with industry-standard Electronic Design Automation toolchains, including Synopsys and Cadence Design Systems, which supports state-of-the-art teaching and research infrastructure that is closely calibrated to the latest industry practices. They will learn how to model digital systems from register-transfer level design through to the final layout file format required for chip fabrication.
