Singapore Leaders Network (SGLN) in partnership with the Biopharma Manufacturers’ Advisory Council (BMAC) and supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), have launched the SGLN Biopharma Leaders Programme, a national leadership development platform aimed at strengthening Singapore’s strategic talent pipeline by developing biopharma global leaders.
Designed to strengthen leadership capabilities within Singapore’s biopharmaceutical manufacturing sector, the SGLN Biopharma Leaders Programme aims to build a strong pipeline of globally ready talent who can lead in an increasingly complex, innovation-driven biopharmaceutical landscape. It provides a platform for leaders across the ecosystem to collaborate, share best practices, and co-create leadership solutions. This will strengthen Singapore’s position as a trusted global hub for biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
The SGLN Biopharma Leaders Programme is part of the SGLN Industry Interest Groups (SIIG) which was officially launched by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong in September 2025. The programme serves as a national platform to build leadership excellence and strengthen Singapore’s position as one of the world’s leading biopharmaceutical manufacturing hubs. Through leadership development modules, cross-company Communities of Practice (CoPs), and industry learning events, participants will gain insights into global best practices and work together on real-world projects that address shared industry priorities such as workforce transformation, digitalisation, and sustainability.
Co-created with industry leaders from across Singapore’s vibrant biopharma ecosystem, including company representatives from BMAC organisations such as Abbott, AbbVie, Alcon, Amgen, AstraZeneca, BioNTech, GSK, Kaneka, Lonza, MSD, Novartis, Pfizer, Reckitt, Roche, Sanofi, Takeda, Thermo Fisher, Viatris, Wuxi, Wyeth Nutritionals, amongst others — the initiative reflects a strong collective commitment to developing Singapore’s biopharma leaders for global leadership roles.
The programme launch event, held at Catapult, Rochester Commons, gathered over 70 senior leaders from Singapore’s biopharma ecosystem, including representatives from EDB, BMAC and SGLN. The evening featured an industry panel discussion on “Leadership and Collaboration for a Resilient and Globally Competitive Biopharma Ecosystem”, followed by an interactive “Future Visioning” exercise where participants co-created aspirations for the future of Singapore’s biopharma leadership, identifying areas for collaboration and talent development across the ecosystem.
Applications for the inaugural SGLN Biopharma Leaders Programme are now open. Apply by 12 December 2025.
