How a move to Singapore sparked a transformation for this serial founder

Noah Pepper, who previously led Stripe’s expansion in Asia Pacific, was inspired to build his new venture here. Multiplier is deploying AI technology to help businesses scale while elevating staff and client experiences.

When Noah Pepper and his family first touched down in Singapore, it was meant to be temporary — a one-year assignment abroad. Two years later, the decision to stay became a clear conviction: Singapore was not just a waypoint. It was the place to build the next chapter of his life — and a company that could reshape an entire industry.

Noah is no stranger to innovation, having spent a decade in Silicon Valley. There, he had co-founded data analytics startup Lucky Sort — later acquired by Twitter (now known as X) — and subsequently joined Stripe to help launch its global products. His career took him from holding leadership positions across engineering and product management teams, to ultimately heading the company’s Asia Pacific business from Singapore.

It was during his time in Singapore that Noah gained fresh perspective and decided to launch his latest venture: Multiplier Holdings, an AI-powered platform transforming the professional services sector.

From San Francisco to Singapore: Expanding Horizons

When Noah landed in Singapore at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, he did not know what to expect. Almost immediately, Singapore offered him something different.

“I was really impressed by the thoughtfulness and pragmatism of the Singapore government,” Noah recalls. “I remember taking a walk and sharing a coffee with a leader from the public sector shortly after moving here, and being struck by how long-term and strategic their thinking is.”

What also stood out was the economic diversity. “Coming from the Bay Area, it was amazing to end up in a city that was economically vibrant, but in a much more diverse way. I was meeting people leading APAC arms of so many different kinds of businesses — not just tech.”

Planting Roots in a Place That Continuously Reinvents Itself

Noah speaks fondly of what makes Singapore unique: its “smart density,” lush urban design and the seamless physical infrastructure that make it easy to settle here, even with young children. However, what resonated most deeply was the city-state’s relentless focus on constant reinvention and diversification of its economy.

“Raising my kids in a society that is safe, convenient, and committed to progress is a compelling opportunity I’m quite grateful for.”

Building Multiplier: Reinventing a Legacy Sector

That openness to change found a parallel in Noah’s own entrepreneurial journey. His new venture, Multiplier Holdings, did not start with a vision to disrupt the professional services industry. Instead, it began much like a typical Silicon Valley startup — as a business-to-business Software-as-a-Services company.

“Being in Singapore helped me think more expansively,” Noah explains. “I was exposed to a broader community of senior leaders across sectors and geographies.” These encounters gave Noah the confidence to break out of the mental model prevalent in the San Francisco tech scene, and to pivot towards to one that was global-first and industry-transformative.

In June 2025, Multiplier Holdings was publicly launched with US$27.5 million in seed and Series A funding led by Ribbit Capital and Lightspeed Ventures respectively, with participation from EDBI, the investment arm of SG Growth Capital. The Singapore-headquartered Multiplier Holdings aims to acquire and modernise tax, accounting, and other professional services firms using AI and cutting-edge technology. By digitising and streamlining time-intensive processes, Multiplier enables professionals to focus on higher-value work — improving outcomes for clients while amplifying the impact of human talent.

“Our mission is to multiply the return on talent — helping the best firms and professionals scale up to serve more clients, more effectively,” says Noah.

Building with Purpose — and Community

Noah credits Singapore’s startup ecosystem for giving him the freedom to experiment, pivot, and ultimately, find product-market fit. The country’s founder-friendly talent visas also provided certainty, something much needed for entrepreneurs.

“Because of the flexibility of Tech.Pass and ONE Pass, I was able to take on a lot of risk with the business — knowing that even if it failed, I’d still be able to provide continuity for my family.”

He also points to EDB’s role in fostering meaningful connections and community. “As I’ve been building my team — and finding peers to learn from — EDB’s events have introduced me to lots of tech and business leaders. That’s been really valuable and through those networks I’ve developed relationships that are meaningful both personally and professionally.”

Looking Ahead: Singapore as a Global Hub for Business and Talent

Now part of EDB’s Global Founder Programme, Noah sees Singapore not just as a place to live, but as a long-term base for Multiplier’s global ambitions.

“Singapore is a major node in the global network that we’re building — a place with rich diversities in its industries, and where regional leadership of many businesses are based. We can access talent, capital, and customers across Asia and beyond. It’s an ideal launchpad for a global-first venture.”

For Noah Pepper, what began as a short-term relocation has become the foundation of something enduring: a global company, built in and from Singapore — and a home for his family in a city that is always looking forward.
