Based on survey results from over 400 senior leaders, this report by BCG X delves into the challenges, strategic priorities and readiness gaps faced by businesses in accelerating their business-building efforts in APAC. Key findings include:
- 80% of executives view business building as a crucial strategic initiative, undertaking an average of five new high growth ventures each year since 2021.
- APAC businesses lead with 32% of their annual revenue invested in business building, surpassing the global average by a substantial 20%.
- There is a strong trend toward mergers and acquisitions, with 65% of leaders increasing their focus on M&A compared to the previous year.
- 40% of leaders recognise a gap in their organisations’ preparedness to effectively pursue new, high-growth opportunities.
